Early Wednesday morning, Los Angeles Police Department officers were summoned to a location in the Mount Washington area, following a distress call from an Uber driver. The driver reported a passenger carrying a firearm in the vehicle. Fortunately, the driver was able to leave the car unharmed and informed the police about the passenger’s refusal to disembark.
The standoff, occurring near the intersection of Marmion Way and Museum Drive, led to significant disruptions. Authorities cordoned off sections of Marmion Way, and rail services at L.A. Metro’s Museum Station were temporarily suspended. Police, with weapons drawn, maintained a vigilant presence at the scene.
